Gary Zweig is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician who treats the broad range of medical problems. His practice emphasizes excellence and thorough assessment, combining extensive experience with sound judgment when problem solving. His mission is to integrate a top quality medical skill set with caring and compassion, striving to make patients feel at ease, secure, and well cared for. He believes that overall health is always a combination of physical, emotional, and personal factors. Spending the time necessary to build close and positive relationships with patients enables Dr. Zweig to deliver the best possible care. Availability, good listening skills, detailed explanations, and open communication form the cornerstones of his practice. The concierge or custom model is the method by which he personalizes his practice to deliver healthcare in a manner consistent with his mission. This customized, concierge format differs from that of a traditional private practice in that Dr. Zweig  limits his practice size, spends more time with each patient, individualizes and coordinates their healthcare, and is available to patients continuously.

Born in Rochester, NY, he returned after college to attend the University of Rochester Medical School, graduating with “Distinction and High Honors.” He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society. Dr. Zweig’s Internship and Residency were completed at the University of Chicago. He was then selected to stay on as a Fellow in General Internal Medicine, to teach and receive additional training in both general and subspecialty areas. Afterwards, with his wife, Susan, he moved to Palo Alto, and began working in a multi-disciplinary group. In 1998, he left group practice to start his own private office in Palo Alto and joined the Department of Medicine at Stanford Hospital. This enabled him to further personalize his healthcare, and to create an environment that is both warm and welcoming for his patients. In 2008, to provide the ultimate level of individualized care, he transitioned from a private practice to a custom concierge practice. Susan and Gary live in their home in Palo Alto where they have raised their three sons.
